How much does it cost?

50 minute counseling sessions are $150.

I accept MasterCard and Visa cards, cash, or check.

I do not accept insurance, but I can offer a receipt for out of network reimbursement for individual counseling. You can check with your insurance provider to see if this is an option. Please note, if you choose to use your insurance, I have to make a diagnosis, which stays in your health record.

How do I know if you’ll be a good fit?

Choosing the right counselor is very important! I offer a free 10 minute phone consultation, in which I’ll ask why you are seeking counseling or coaching. I will let you know if my training and experience is a good match for what you’re hoping to accomplish.  I highly recommend asking a counselor about his/her training and experience, how sessions are structured, whether or not she/he has had success in whichever issue you’re wanting help with. You have the right to “interview” your potential counselors, as well as get a sense of whether or not you could make a connection with the counselor in the first interaction.

How do I schedule?

You can conveniently register as a client and schedule here. If you would like a free 10 minute phone consultation first, call 404-913-1102, and in your message, let me know the best times to call you back. I will do my best to call you back within 24 business hours.

How do I know if I need counseling or coaching?

Coaching is for folks who are in a great place mentally, and just need some extra support, accountability, and tools for reaching their goals. Some common reasons people choose coaching:

– Support in setting boundaries
– Help simplifying life and removing excess
– Support in reaching business, fitness, educational, or relational goals

Counseling can incorporate all of the above as well, but is more comprehensive. The good news is, if you chose a counselor as your coach, you don’t have to choose. For more information on the counseling services I offer, click here.

What should I expect after I schedule an appointment?

Sessions usually last 50 minutes and the frequency is determined by your goals. Most people come once a week, or once every 2 weeks. In our first session, I will be getting to know you and your desires for counseling or coaching. It’s normal to feel a little nervous in the first session, but I promise I’m not scary and I’ll do my best to put you at ease.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you must cancel your appointment for any reason, please call or email Lauren at 404.913.1102 or [email protected] at least 48 business hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. Not doing so will result in being billed at the full rate. Our session is very important to me, as are you. I plan my day around our scheduled appointment, so please be considerate.
