About Lauren

Nice to meet you!

Hi there! I’m Lauren. I’ve had the privilege of counseling folks for over a decade and I still love my work! I love empowering individuals, couples, and families to overcome challenges because I believe that being healthy and happy are often the same thing. I have a genuine passion for helping adults and couples experience intimacy, healing, and hope.

I’ve had the honor of being the guest on podcasts and the speaker for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) groups, where I discuss relationship and sexual topics. After graduating in 2009 with my Master’s degree from Richmont Graduate University in Marriage and Family Therapy, I have continuously pursued higher learning to best serve my clients.

I have special training and experience with individuals and couples struggling with physical and emotional intimacy, trauma recovery, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, affair recovery, communication, conflict resolution, and premarital counseling.

Having been a client myself, I understand the importance of finding a counselor you feel comfortable with. My clients have said they can tell how much I genuinely care about them and know them well. I respect the investment of your time and money into counseling, and I offer practical tools for you to get the most out of counseling. Please feel free to call me for a free 10 minute phone consultation to ensure we are a good fit for one another.

On a personal note, I have been married to my best friend, Josh since 2008 and we have 2 boys, Caleb and Mason. I’m also a dog mom to Felix, our sweet labradoodle, who can join sessions at the desire or request of each client. In my free time, I enjoy eating, having conversations with family and friends, reading books with strong female characters, writing, camping (or better known as “glamping,” in the Dack family camper), and being outside as much as possible.
